We've got a great looking Friday ahead. Mostly sunny skies to start out the day, a few high clouds building in this afternoon into tonight. The wind coming off of the lake this afternoon will provide cooler temps along the lakeshore. Saturday will start out dry, just a spotty t-storm will develop in the afternoon. I expect the Marathon forecast to be pleasant on Sunday with a race start temp around 60 with a partly cloudy sky.

A batch of rain is moving through early this morning. Expect a break for the late morning hours before rain and storms develop out ahead of a cold front. Some of these storms could be strong to severe this afternoon into tonight. Behind the front, this weekend will be much colder with highs in the 50s and a few showers lingering into Mother's Day.

A storm system centered south of Ohio with bring a few showers to southern portions of Northeast Ohio this afternoon. I expect this to be light and to be limited to areas south of Akron. With still plenty of dry air in place the middle of the week will be dry. Out ahead of a cold front a few showers and isolated t-storms will be the focus of Thursday night into Friday.

Some high cloud cover is with us this morning, but expect more sunshine than clouds into the afternoon.  A strong wind out of the southeast with high pressure over us will leave winds gusting over 20 mph at the lakefront.  Expect a sunny and dry weekend, before we finally get a little rain late Tuesday.

Rain arriving this morning out ahead of a cold front will continue to push from west to east. Expect the colder air to settle in this afternoon with temperatures dropping to the mid-40s by 5pm. A few showers, which could be mixed with a few snow showers overnight into early Saturday will be short lived before dry air holds this weekend.

Rain, storms for Tuesday

An approaching front will bring rain and storms later this morning. Expect heavy downpours, lightning and gusty winds. Later this afternoon a few showers will linger before we dry things out overnight. Wednesday will be cooler with the wind coming off of the lake. Out ahead of the next front temperatures will soar into the 80s on Thursday.
