Berea athletic complex coming soon | Schools
The Berea City School District will partially demolish Roehm Middle School this summer so that it can begin to create an athletic complex on the site. The Berea Planning Commission voted on April 4 to OK the demolition.
The majority of the building will be razed, leaving the gym and locker rooms intact.
The high school wrestling team will use the facility and the football team will practice on Lou Groza Field.
Jeff Grosse, assistant school superintendent, said Groza Field was the first phase of the project.
The second phase will be another football field with a track and baseball fields.
A field house will be phase three.
