Berea has new fire prevention officer
Berea Fire Capt. Mickey Herreid is the Berea Fire Division's new fire prevention officer. He will inspect every Berea business twice a year, said Safety Director Kenneth Adams.
That will include making suggestions for corrections and improvements and answering any questions business owners might have.
Herreid was promoted to captain in July 2012.
He joined the department in 1989.
