Berea schools 3rd grader needs a bone marrow transplant | Events
Brookview Elementary School is having a Marrow Donor Registry Drive on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The goal is to find a match for Sierra, a 3rd grader at the school. She has Beta Thalassemia Major and a bone marrow transplant is her only chance for a cure.
Like most little girls her age, Sierra loves to sing and dance and she has been performing with The Singing Angels for almost 2 years.
Of the more than 10 million volunteers on the Be The Match Registry, Sierra does not have a match.
Paperwork, a cheek swab, and 10 minutes of your time could change her life!
Please help Sierra live out her dreams by joining the Be The Match Registry at the event.
Although all healthy between the ages of 18-44 are welcome and encouraged, they are looking for those of African American descent as they prove to be a more difficult match.
The school will also have a bake sale, basket raffle, and food/drink for sale.
Brookview Elementary School is located at 14105 Snow Road.
