Akron, Ohio –   Tramell Wilson, age 26, was wanted by the Akron Police on multiple counts of felonious assault, aggravated burglary, disorderly conduct and three contempt warrants.

In August of 2011, the Akron Police Department referred the case to the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) for assistance with locating and apprehending Wilson.  The NOVFTF, over the course of their investigation, has spent hundreds of man hours on the case.

In November of 2011, the NOVFTF added Wilson to their most wanted “Dangerous Dozen” list.  His picture was profiled in numerous media outlets resulting in numerous tips.

Earlier today, Task Force Officers from the NOVFTF Akron Division were conducting surveillance in the 200 block of Turner St. in Akron, when they spotted Wilson entering a residence.  Task Force Officers called the Akron Police for back up and then approached the residence.  After approximately 15 minutes, Wilson came out of the house and surrendered himself to the NOVFTF without incident.  Wilson was transported to the Summit County Jail for booking.

Ohio sees increase in alcohol-related fatalities

Ohio sees increase in alcohol-related fatalities

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration just released their data for last year's Drunk Driving Fatalities this morning following a press conference with U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood's comments about the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign information.

Ohio was unfortunately not one of the 32 states to see a decline in alcohol-related fatalities this year -- adding 16 MORE fatalities.

This is a 4.9% increase from 2009!

These numbers indicate the great importance to push drivers to be responsible and stay sober if they are going to be driving in your state this holiday season.

Burglar proof your home!

Burglar proof your home!

Home Safety tips from Brooklyn Police.

Never leave a message on your answering machine that indicates you may be away from home. Rather than saying " I'm not at home right now," say " I'm not available right now."

When home-park your cars in the garage with the garage door shut. Burglars look for patterns when garage doors are open or cars are in the driveway.

Make your house look the same whether you are away or at home.

Do not provide your house keys to service people.

Do not let strangers inside your home. Burglars sometimes like to " case" the home by posing as a motorist in distress or other guise. Once inside, they look for valuables that are worth stealing and then come back later when you are not home.

When working outside, leave all other doors that are out of sight locked.

Avoid discussing with others the valuables that are kept in your home.

Discuss home safety with your children.

Do not share any security system or garage door codes.

When returning home-be observant! If something looks questionable-a slit screen, a broken window or an open door-DON'T GO INSIDE!
